Charlie Hall is a writer, editor, and journalist with more than 15 years’ experience specializing in strategy, simulation, and spacefaring games. A former senior editor at Vox Media’s Polygon, he was the first tabletop editor named to a major media publication in the United States. 

He’s the only journalist to serve as a judge for both E3 (video games) and the Origins Awards (tabletop games), and was a founding member of the Vox Media Union, part of the Writers Guild of America East. His work has been featured on NPR, Marketplace, the BBC, Smithsonian Magazine, and in the collection of The Peabody Essex Museum.
